Summary
Stephen Burrell Preaching Pastor James Safrit
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I just used a music stand from Planning Center. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Planning Center is pretty good because you can do so much through Planning Center. Everything from music, sermons, all the way to offerings. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's a good one. A very way. Yeah, I'm a 5, didn't you? Yeah, a 10-year-old, we're a high, and I'm a good one. Yeah, the pedal's not all. I'm a good one. I'm a good one.
I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I'm a good one.
All right, welcome everybody tonight to our night one of our revival. I'm excited about having this and starting tonight. I've got my good friend Stephen that I grew up with. I'll introduce him in a minute, but I'll open the service in prayer.
Cody's here with us. He's going to lead us in worship.
Just reminding you that tomorrow we'll take up a love offering for Cody, and then on Wednesday we'll take up a love offering for Stephen, and we'll give them a little gift as well for coming and helping us out.
And so I'm going to pray, and then we'll open the service and turn it over to Cody, and then I'll come up here in just a minute as well. Father, we love you.
We thank you for what you've done for us. Thank you for the goodness that you've given us. Thank you for allowing us to come and worship you.
Lord, we just thank you for your son who came to die for us to forgive us of our sins. I pray, God, that you would be with Stephen as he preaches here in a little bit, be with Cody as he leads us in worship,
that we would worship you with heart, soul, mind, and strength,
and that we would glorify you in all that we think and say and do. We thank you for what you've done for us. Thank you for the help that you've given us, and thank you for the cold weather. It's been great, great to have that. We love you.
In your name we pray. Amen. Let's all stand, and we'll leave here. How about I said good morning, church? Good evening, church.
Let's worship the Lord like it's revival. I want you guys to sing like he's actually saved you, okay? It's all right to worship the Lord. I love it. Christ is my firm foundation. Christ is my firm foundation. The rock on which I stand And everything around me is shaking
I've never been more glad And I put my faith in Jesus
Cause he's never let me down He's faithful to generations So why would he fail now?
He won't He won't He won't He won't He won't I've still got joy in chaos I've got peace that makes no sense And I won't be going under
I'm not held by my own strength I've built my life for Jesus Cause he's never let me down He's faithful in every season So why would he fail now?
He won't He won't He won't He won't He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't He won't He won't fail
He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail He won't fail I'm safe with you. I'm gonna make it through.
One more time. Rain came when blue. My house was built on you. I'm safe with you.
I'm gonna make it through. I'm gonna make it through. I'm standing strong on you. I'm gonna make it through. My house was built on you. Christ is my firm foundation. The rock on which I stand. The world around me is shaking. I've never been more glad. I put my faith in Jesus.
He's never let me down. He's faithful through generations. So why would he fail now? He won't. He won't. He won't. He won't fail. He won't fail. He won't fail. No, he won't.
Can we give the Lord some praise? Just give it. It's all right to clap in church. I promise.
Anytime that I can just worship the Lord. Oh, it's so good. I wouldn't be standing up here today. Neither of us would be standing inside this building. Knowing who Jesus is if it wasn't for the blood. Amen. So we're gonna sing about it.
I've only done this song a few times. And I just love it. Everything changed. Everything changed. It's getting harder to recognize the person I was before I encountered Christ. I don't walk like I used to. I don't talk like I used to. I've been watched from the inside.
I've been watched from the inside out. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood
I cannot explain Nothing's more real than this In the presence of God Oh, what my heart experienced When my shame hit the wayside When my sin met the most high I've been watched from the inside I've been watched from the inside out Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood
It's never been the blood It's never been about performance Perfection Striving for acceptance Let me tell you It's only by the blood It's never been about deserving or earning It's a gift that's freely given Let me tell you, it's only by the blood Does anybody want to be holy and righteous?
Purified and spotless Let me tell you, it's only by the blood Does anybody want to be worthy? For giving? Just to find really living? Let me tell you, it's only by the blood Hallelujah, hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood Hallelujah,
hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood Hallelujah, hallelujah Let's do that chorus one more time Hallelujah, hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood Hallelujah, hallelujah I know it was the blood Could have only been the blood
Thank you Jesus Thank you Just take up a couple of moments of prayer concerns
Here to open up the service And then we're going to sing one more song And then turn the service over to Stephen But as I've been praying this last week Leading up to this The Lord led me to just a couple of passages of scriptures
They have nothing to do with what Stephen's preaching But he told me on the way here What he was going to be preaching But I want to read just a couple of verses Out of Psalms 85
Verses 4-7 If you've been in church any amount of time You've probably heard these verses before And I know you can have a lot of people I just don't know
