Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. So if you did not receive your directory, this is what it looks like. If you need to get one, see me, Miss Vicki, Miss Pat, one of us will have your name on it. If you want an extra one, maybe you've got someone that needs an extra directory or you'd like to have just another one, you can purchase another one. I think it's $10 is what Vicki told me. That's just what our cost is for the directories. And so we want to let you know that that is there. Do want to mention just a couple of things by way of introduction as far as the history of the church. Many of you have been here, I wouldn't say since the beginning. I think Vicki's the only one that's been here since the beginning of the church, 173 years ago. I liked, I think it was Cole told me that we went, instead of doing alphabetical order, we went oldest to youngest in the directory. So Vicki made her name first because she's the oldest in the church. She's not in here for my jokes this morning. This is not fun. So we want to thank everybody for being here, though. It's been a great time. A couple of things I just want to say by way of introduction is the history of the church. 173 years is a long time. The Lord's been faithful to us. I want to recognize just a couple of people. Thank you for some of our ones that are here that don't normally come. Maybe you've got another church, but you're here to celebrate our day today. But if you were born at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, would you stand up? If you were part of, your family was here, you were born, you were a kid in the church. Would you stand up? All right. Let's go. That's awesome. You can be seated. If you accepted Jesus and was baptized here at Pleasant Grove, would you stand up? Amen. That's a great thing. Last one. Last one. I promise I won't have you stand anymore after this other than when we sing. Yeah. Some of you are just going to stay standing. If you were married in the church or part of the church when you got married, would you stand up? All right. This is great. Awesome. Awesome. It's good to remember some of those things. As the church has a long history, it's good to look back. I did a little bit of study. There was a book that was put out at the 150th year. That's why mine was on the 150th. The red book that's out. If you don't have one of those and you want one, you can see us and you can get one. But I went through a couple of months back because someone was asking me some questions. And I figured out how many pastors that we've had in the church in the 173 years, which was this was a difficult number because some men served different times. So they would serve for like five or seven years and then they left for some other reason. Some was a disagreement or whatever. And then they came back like 10 years later and served for another five or seven years. So we've had 23 pastorates and 19 different men that have served as pastors. I'm the 19th man to serve the church and I'm grateful for that. Thank you for the last three years of the faithfulness that you've been here to encourage me, my family. And the church has seen many salvations, many baptisms, families get married. We've been able to send some people off. It's good to see some men that are here that we sent to be pastors elsewhere. And I got to preach this last week at Stevens Church. That's one of those men that we sent away to go help and be a part of another pastor of a church. And so we're thankful and grateful for what God has done in the past, but also what he's going to do in the future. And so we're excited about what God is going to do. It's good to see Ms. Ann Calloway, Ms. Carrie Sue here from Georgia. I'm sure there's others that I haven't mentioned or that are here, but I just wanted to mention those two. But a couple of announcements that I want to give is Angel Bell is doing a wreath making session next Saturday at one o'clock in the church basement. If you want to be a part of that, come and hang out. We'll try to send a reminder out for that this coming Saturday or next Saturday. I don't know the date. It doesn't have a date on here. Does anyone have a date? I don't know what next Saturday, if that means this Saturday or next Saturday. And then the last thing, not last thing, but the next thing I want to mention, this is just special announcements. Ms. Sheila's here. This is Pat's daughter. Ms. Sheila has done lots of food donations for our blessing box from her organization. And we just want to thank you for all that you've done and helping out with that and being able to help us in that ministry. And so thank you for that. After the service today at 12 o'clock, we'll have a fellowship meal in the basement. We'll all go down there. We're going to have a great time enjoying each other's time of company. We'll have lots of food that's been brought in, so we're excited about that. Starting tomorrow night, not tonight, but tomorrow night, we'll have a revival here at the church. My friend Stephen Braille is going to be here preaching. Cody Ward is going to be leading all the worship for the entire week. And then we're going to have a meal, but only on Wednesday night. Wednesday night at 6 o'clock, we'll have a soup fellowship right before the service at 7. Monday and Tuesday, we're not going to do a meal or anything, so make sure you're aware of that. We'll do communion next week, and then the 28th, we'll resume our small groups back as normal. The 31st, the last announcement I'm going to give, the 31st is our trunk retreat. We'll be at the community center. I think we've got four or five tables signed up right now. I'd love to see about 10 people, 10 tables signed up. If you want to help be a part of that, whether that's serving the food, we'll feed the community hot dogs that day, but we'll also have tables that are set up. If you want to help be a part of that, please let me know. And then we're still taking up donations for our backpack ministry in Tennessee that we'll be doing the 1st of Tennessee, 1st of December.
